Larry’s Story

“Hi my name is Larry Lingle, and I own a business called Altered Light Window Fashions.

At one of my appointments last week, I was reminded, how grateful I am for the new direction Mendy Gorake helped me take with my life, and Fitness.

In my business, I deal with a lot of sales people, and decorators. Last week I was measuring for one of my customers, and the room we were measuring was up a couple flights of stairs. After climbing the stairs, the salesperson, was having a hard time speaking, because of how out of breath he was.

The reason this stood out to me, is because, a year and a half ago, that would have been me.

You see, a little over ten years ago, I was diagnosed with CLL. It is a chronic form of leukemia. For the last 10 plus years, my health has been up and down. Sometimes feeling great, and sometimes feeling awful. Then two years ago, my wife filed for divorce, and for the most part, I stopped trying health wise. Over a couple years, leading up to the divorce,

I put on over 70 pounds.

As one could imagine, being divorced, and 270 pounds, I was in a dark space mentally.

Thankfully, I gave Mendy a call, and asked if she would help.

I have known Mendy for years, but this was the first time I had called her to be my health coach. I was struck, by how confident she was, that her process, would work for me.

It only took, a little over a year, for her to help me lose over 70 pounds.

First an foremost I give thanks to God, but the Good Book says "Faith without works is Dead".

So now I tell people " no drugs, no surgery, just a great coach, and hard work". ”
