Larry’s Story
“Hi, my name is Larry Lingle, and I own Altered Light Window Fashions in Kansas City.
At an appointment last week, I was reminded just how grateful I am for the new direction Coach Mendy Lynn has helped me take in my life and my health.
In my line of work, I spend a lot of time with salespeople and decorators. I was measuring a room for a customer — a couple flights of stairs up — and after we reached the top, the salesperson with me was struggling to catch his breath. It struck me because a year and a half ago, that would have been me.
More than ten years ago, I was diagnosed with CLL, a chronic form of leukemia. My health had been up and down ever since — some seasons feeling okay, others feeling terrible. Then, two years ago, my wife filed for divorce. During that period, I stopped taking care of myself. Over the years leading up to the divorce, I gained more than 70 pounds.
As you can imagine, being newly divorced and weighing 270 pounds put me in a dark place mentally.
Thankfully, I reached out to Coach Mendy Lynn and asked for her help.
I’ve known Mendy for years, but this was the first time I had approached her as a health coach. What stood out to me immediately was her confidence — she truly believed her process would work for me.
And she was right. In just a little over a year, with her guidance, I lost more than 70 pounds.

So now I tell people: no drugs, no surgery — just a great coach and hard work.”
